When you're making a formula in Excel how do you refer to the row that the formula is in?

Place the cursor in the cell that you want the data to appear. You must know the acronym for the formula for example =average(highlight the cells you want to average) and hit enter. Make sure you enter the right and left brackets.

It depends if you know then use the (:) semicolons to seperate or just hit the (=) edit formula and highlight what you want in the formula. Any which one works just the same.

Function Cell. If you drag it horizontally or vertically it will automatically adopt the formula in those cells.

if it is in C then =C1:C99999 ---if you copy that to another row that will change automaticly
