It could be anything, a cyst, a pimple, a blister. Either way, go see your doctor. I wouldn't worry about it. It sounds like something that just happened, but you have to see your doctor.

Might just be a pimple. Might be herpes. If you are concerned go get the doc to do a blood test and exam and find out for sure.
Herpes can be passed to the eyes etc. So you want to be sure to keep your hands very clean when handling your baby.
Before you freak out, oral herpes can be transmitted to genitals by way of oral sex. It doesnt always mean he was cheating on you.

A pimple or ingrown hair. Nothing to worry about.

It could be from an ingrown hair or a clogged oil duct. Its probably not anything to worry about . Just keep it clean and dry.

if you had an episiotomy it could be one of the "dissolving" stitches did not dissolve, and is coming to the surface . or it could be an ingrown hair. if it gets worse or does not go away, i would have it checked. you can sit it some warm water with epsom salt to try to draw out the infection in either case.

it could be a bartholin cyst. this is a fluid filled sac which contains serous and sebacous fluids. usually green-yellow in color. could be from your panties rubbing on the edge of the pelvic bone- if located in this spot. should pop by itself, is probably round and painful, white head, and scab up. keep trousers and panties away from the area.
