"Yesterday, on CNN, House Majority Leader John Boehner blamed the US military for losing the war in Iraq:

House Majority Leader John Boehner: Wolf, I understand that, but let's not blame what's happening in Iraq on Rumsfeld.

http://www.alternet.org/blogs/peek/43812/

Wolf Blitzer: But he's in charge of the military.

House Majority Leader John Boehner: But the fact is the generals on the ground are in charge and he works closely with them and the president. [CNN, 11/1/06]

Given an opportunity to take back that comment, Boehner elected instead to stay the course."

Didn't Rumsfeld and his team decide NOT to listen to the US Generals? Aren't the Generals upset about that?

because the president didnt listen to the people that are telling him that this is a losing battle yesterday on the abc, cbs, and nbc news, a story appeared about how bush was told, by his own hand picked generals, that the war is going badly, and he immeditaly went in to a prees conference and said the exact oppisit. bush is a perenial liar he should be shot. republicans have no one else to blame for this fiasco but themselves

The Republicans are not blaming the military. The media is. More soldiers were killed in one day at Normandy, Battle of Iwo Jima, Battle of the Bulge...etc., than the whole war in Iraq. But the media maintain a proper perspective. More people are murdered in the US everyday than in Iraq. Where is the outrage?
Since when is "Staying the Course". a bad thing. Staying the course only means having a determination not to fail. Winston Churchill "Stayed the Course". Staying the course is only the route you take to obtain victory!

Wow, Your entire premise is based upon a left-wing blog quoting another left-wing blog on a flawed conclusion drawn by a left-wing reporter on a left-wing news network.

Get out of the echo chamber.

A. The war is NOT being lost
B. Not blaming Rumsfeld is NOT blaming the military
C The administration has made it quite clear that thay are listening to the Generals. The Generals have made it quite clear that this is indeed happening.

If you desire to sound informed, at least do your own homework. If you parrot an idiot, it is difficult to not sound like an idiot yourself....

We are not losing the war in Iraq, even though the Democrats want you to believe we are so they can win elections, in spite of the fact that broadcasting such information emboldens the terrorists and puts our troops and Iraqis at risk. Imagine that - votes are more important to them than the lives of our people.

I believe you misinterpreted the data. That seems to happen a lot with Democrats & Liberals these days.

The US Generals who are speaking out against the war process are retired and out of the loop, not on the ground in Iraq. Like many Americans, I'd rather listen to the leaders and not the armchair quarterbacks.

enable me state that there is a huge difference between being a Republican and being a Conservative. actual conservatives have faith the government must be in touch with our lives as much less as a danger, and yet maximum republicans are against issues like gay marriage and abortion. I evaluate myself a conservative. i'm additionally a registered member of the Republican party, regardless of the shown fact that i'm commencing off to be apologetic approximately that determination. I dont desire to be linked with them, maximum of them come off as ignorant close minded people, who dont somewhat have any actual recommendations themselves, they merely blindly pass alongside and shelter what the "party" stands for. Democrats are no different. that's why as quickly as i'm getting a raffle, i might desire to alter to No party association. And no, christianity would not pass hand in hand with conservatism. that must be like saying athiesm is going hand in hand with liberalism, its merely no longer actual, and its ignorant to declare something like that.

Well according to people we are not losing. But no one will take responsibility for this mess and it will go away very quietly.
