but only converted to energy and vice versa ... he believed in god... Is not this a contradicting viewpoint . If matter can't be created, how could there be a creator?

And in an interview with Professor William Hermanns, he (Einstein) said: “I cannot accept any concept of God based on the fear of life or the fear of death or blind faith. I cannot prove to you that there is no personal God, but if I were to speak of him I would be a liar.”

APPARENTLY YOU DONT UNDERSTAND BOTH GODS POWER AND EINSTEINS FORMULA E= Mc2 means Energy that is liberated when there are moleciles in collision ie a nuclear explosion is to the mass Xthe speed of light squared was the formula that paved the way for the nuclear age and nuclear energy and since God has an unlimited source of energy if he chose to use it to create matter then he can do so because with out him nothing can ow will exhist when scientists come up with theese theories they base it on discovering the laws governing the universe he established like Keppler and the laws of planetary motion you should also know what it says at Ps 83:18 best wishes Gorbalizer

Exactly, Matter can not be destroyed only converted and recycled. If you study the first verse in Genesis it says, In the Beginning God created the Heavens and the Earth.

Here created comes from the Hebrew word Beroshiet, which means, Shaped, fashioned, created, organized or formed.

So God had material to use there are something even God can't do. And that is to create matter and reorganize it to form what is needed.

Actually, it's not as complicated as it might sound. Even the Bible says at Isaiah 40; 26 latter part of verse " Due to the abundance of dynamic energy, He also being vigorous in power , not one of them ( the stars ) is missing. "

This verse is saying that God is an enormous amount of energy and Einstiiens' theory helps explain how energy and matter relate.

It takes a lot of energy to make matter, thus the equation of multiplication by the speed of light squared which is 186 , 000 miles a sec times itself. That's why nuclear bombs are so powerful, when all they really do is unleash the power of an uranium atom.

Einstein 's theory theory proves where matter came from and helps explain the difference between God ( a Spirit creature) and man ( made from clay) and how one came from the other.

I cannot imagine a God who rewards and punishes the objects of his creation, whose purposes are modeled after our own -- a God, in short, who is but a reflection of human frailty. Neither can I believe that the individual survives the death of his body, although feeble souls harbor such thoughts through fear or ridiculous egotisms.
-- Albert Einstein, obituary in New York Times, 19 April 1955, quoted from James A Haught, "Breaking the Last Taboo" (1996)

Einstein is often misquoted as being a believer in God but when answering a Rabbi on this subject he makes it plain that he believes in the god of spinoza. Spinoza was excomunicated by his fellow Jews as an atheist.

Quantum mechanics provides one loophole to this rule. In a pure vacuum there is a continual creation of matched matter & anti-matter particles that normally immediately annihilate each other. Occasionally the particles escape each other, and result in the creation of mass & energy.

This principle provides a way for the big bang. It is hypothesized that our 4 dimensional space-time (the fabric of space that our universe is in) might be a 4D manifold embedded in a higher dimensional space. If there is a parallel space-time, and the two collided, it could result in a huge creation of matter and anti-matter, with possibly more matter in our space-time, and more anti-matter in the other space-time.

This is of course all speculation, and unfortunately there are currently no good ideas for how one could conduct any experiments that would test these ideas. This is a very hot area of disagreement in theoretical physics. This is one area of science where there really is as much contention and disagreement as creationists think there is for the Theory of Evolution.

Its even more complex than that, not only matter and energy but the spatio-temporal contunuum, (the universe in which we live)
and the many universes beyond it...
the question should not be If mattar cant be created, how could ther be a creator?

But rather: If there is no creator how can all of this be???

I am a creative person as it can seen by your question you are also. I made little railroad scenes on a board for my son at Christmas. I did not create matter but I did create something out of matter. whats tha matter??

Einstiens statement was about what happens inside this space time continuum and he said nothing aboutl,, all that we know about,, is all that there is. His brain was too smart to assume we know about everything. The truth all intelligent people realize is, is this the more you know the more you know you don't know.

Read that over a coupla times eventually you'll get it.

short version what does it matter.

count number might want to be destroyed. Physics say that count number is between the varieties capacity would take. That suggested, count number might want to be switched over into capacity, yet this capacity can't be destroyed, in basic terms switched over. expertise is an emergent property of the mind. expertise exists because the atoms contained in the mind are prepared in a particular way. replace this association, and the interest will be destroyed, notwithstanding if the atoms nonetheless exist. to assert each and every thing a lot less formally, if I take a mind and slice it into 16 products, the ideas that existed till now will not exist, notwithstanding if I nonetheless have the cloth that became the mind.

He believed in a god like a deist. He pretty much says that god is nature and isn't concerned with humans at all. I don't read this as anything other than he thinks god is the sum of all the laws of Physics that allow the Universe to exist. Therefore not contradictory at all.
