Oh dear - welcome to the club of the oh-so lucky owners of dogs who can't take the tablets and heave them back up.

Some dogs start out being sensitive to it; others develop a sensitivity after being able to take it. It upsets their tummy and back it comes.

It happens about something like 1 in 1000.

There is an alternative heatworm for such dogs. It is a liquid and you apply to the back of the neck.

GIve your vet a call and ask if you can pick up (now on the spelling, I'm reading some really terrible handwriting here) "P (or R) eusltio"

At least it took 3-4 hours. I've one dog who heaves the tablets back up in 10-15 minutes flat! And she is 15 and has never been sick a day in her life except for that -go figure.

Your best Bet is to call your Vet before giving him his Interceptor.

What is an interceptor?

If it is a pill, after 4 hours it should already be out of the stomach. (If it is a pill)

He should be ok. My dog did this too when given interceptor. its a normal reaction. as long as he didnt get sick within the hour that it was given then he digested enough of it for it to be effective.

I would call the vet tomorrow and ask him, but after 3 or 4 hours, the meds was probably already digested and into his system.

That would be a tough one. I would ask my vet since you aren't sure if the meds would have been fully digested yet. Good Luck KG

Never dubble medicate. What he had digested (which should be most of it within 3 - 4 hours) could cause and over dose if you give it to him again.
