My sons hamster got killed by the dog this morning, my car won't start, and had a flat tire, I was late for work and my kids missed the bus and I am short on my rent money. Is anyone having luck worse than mine?

I'm short on rent money, too, and have unpaid bills. My girl's with her dad all weekend, and I miss her. Count your blessings. It may seem trite, but sometimes that's all you can do. And give your son extra love; I bet losing his hamster was worst for him.

Be Glad that you and your children are healthy. All of the things you listed will all have gone away by tomorrow. I know that you probably feel worn out, but you need to have a better attitude about things. When my doctor told me I had MS and that there was a 40% chance that I would be in a wheel chair, I said,"I'm blessed that MS is not terminal. I can live with that." And I'm only 25 years old. I wish my problems revolved around a dead hamster, a flat tire and late rent. Trust me. You are blessed.

no my day actually went pretty well. aside from the fact that(unlike usual) I had PE first thing in the morning and was sweaty all day, had to do an iniativwe in the cold rain for an hour in leadership, had to watch my abusive and rude little brother for a couple hours until my mom decided that she felt like picking us up, had to sit through my little brother's conference for 30 minutes, and am stuck here at my moms cold work for another hour or until she decides we should go home. oh yea and im popor and starving... and I havent fed my dogs yet so they are freezing, hungry, and thirsty in their outdoor kennel in the dark right now.

overall, I would say my day went well... not because I am being sarcastic and have self pity, or because other days are worse, but because I kept a pos. attitude all day and I believe that it rubbed off on some other people as well. I know that tomorrow will be a new day and though I will still be poor, and it will still be wet and cold, and I will still have to babysit my little brother in the rain for 2 hours until my mom picks us up... late(of course), I will be positive and things will all be fine.

I hope tomorrow is a better day for you. Im heading home now and cant wait for tomorrow. enjoy yourself and the time you have in this life!

You are lucky to have healthy kids and you are still alive to enjoy them. All the things you have just listed are things that can be fixed. Quit whining over what you don't have and rejoice over the things that are good in your life. Of course there are people having a worse day than yours. What about those that lost a mother, father, sister, brother today? What about the mother mourning the death of a child or the person that was just told that she only has 3 months to live.? Be Thankful for what you have.

Hell yeah my day is worse then yours. My food stamps went down almost 200 dollers to 156 dollers a month for 6 people,I am about 600 dollers behind on rent,my intransits on my van are expired,my boyfreinds aunt accused me of hitting his 3 boys(which i do not do),someone called cps and said me and my boyfreind do drugs(wedo not we have 4 kids and 1 on the way)i am due in February and we don't have room in our 2 bedroom apartment for another baby(already have 6 of us in there) and I dunno how we are gonna afford rent,food,2 birthdays, van payments, christmas, plates for the van,and a new baby.

When I'm down, I think of what I do have...you have a dog for your kids, a car, a job and kids. A lot of people wish for any or all of these.
