Um why is the catagory in Dogs but you ask cats?
Well anyways theyre probably curious or bored :] Or just playful

Well, I think cats play with their tails because their bored. My cat will run up and down the stairs backwards-sideways trying to catch his tail. Who knows? Maybe their trying to be cute! (Cause if they are, they`re sucseeding!)

My dog does the same thing.
You've heard of dogs chasing their tails.
Mine does that, chews on it, and I have actually taught her to know what the word "tail" means, so now she can chase her tail on command!

i mean they dont have television, actualy they do but they dont watch it, or computer... or any of the thing we find entertaining. and maybe they just like to chase it because it looks like its another animal to play with
