I moved it here to California from the east coast. Ive had it for like 5 years now and only used it on private land so I never registered it and i don't have any paper work on it either. Can anyone tell me how to go about this or how to find out without going into the DMV?

i bought it from a friend who passed away awhile ago and lost the paper work without even knowing, I'm going to sell it but figured i should get a title and registration first

Hi feked_up,

Who did you buy the bike from? I'd start there, also if the person is still on the East coast & has the title ask him/her to go & purchase the tabs & you will repay them. Also to send you the registeration papers & or title. If you can't contact the person then you will need to go DMV. ( And wouldn't you get the title from the bike to begin with?) Good luck! Have a good day!
