The main thinhg about Christianity is that it is not one unified religion. There are hundreds of different demominations - like the Roman Catholics, the Eastern Orthodox church, the Church of England, Methodists... and so on.
Anyway the views of the different denominations differ and as such I cannot answer for all Christian groups. So what I will say is based upon what most of the large Christain denominations believe.
In the Bible there are several prophets:
Abraham, Amos, Daniel, Ezekiel, Hosea, Isaiah, Jaco, Jeremiah, Joel, Micah, Moses, Nahum, and Zechariah are all prophets in the Old Testament.
Some Christians groups count Jesus as a prophet (Muslims know Jesus as the Prophet Isa PBUH) while others do not think he counts as a prophet as he was a divine being.
There is also a book in the Bible - the Book of Reveleation which is a prophecy for the future and details such things as the return of Christ and the coming of the Anti-Christ. It also mentioned the fall of the Roman Empire.
Anyway most Christians acknowledge and respect the prophets mentioned in the Bible. Some also believe certain Saints, Martyrs, Bishops... were given the gift of prophecy by God for a specific single event but are not regarded as true prophets like say Moses was.
In general the Christain prophets are given respect but not as much so as the prophets of Islam. This is mainly because Christians give so much reverence towards Jesus as the Son of God (and some Chrsitians to Mary the Mother of Jesus) that they do not have as much time to spend considering the prophets.
I hope this give you a reasonable idea of the basic situation. Have a great day!

Yes, we believe in the prophets.....from the Old Testament almost all of the prophets spoke of the coming of the Christ, which was fulfilled in the New Testament. Jesus himself being a prophet spoke of the last days, the end of time. Even in the book of Revelation what is to come when the Earth passes away. Signs and wonders in the earth are happening today, just as prophesied. The tsunamis, the earthquakes in diverse places....strange things happening....wars and rumors of wars, it's all been foretold. Our Apostles and Prophets are highly respected because they have a direct link with God. To prophecy is a gift from God that our apostles and prophets told us to pray for. There are prophets and prophetesses still here today.

Christianity goes hand in hand with the Holy Bible, i stand to be corrected though. The Holy Bible says that there are/will be prophets in the world. So yes, we as christians believe in the prophets. However the Holy Bible goes on to warn us about false prophets. It says there will perform miracles and have powers that do not come from God the Almighty, so i guess what remains for us is to differentiate between the two.

True Christians should respect the prophets by following their example, worshipping God in the way God wants to worshipped. Unfortunately, many so-called Christians ignore the teaching of God through the prophets. They also ignore the teachings of Jesus Christ. Only Jehovah's Christian Witnesses amongst nominal Christians genuinely respect the prophets. We recently recieve a publication entitled "LIve With Jehovah's Day In Mind." This book tells us about the prophets, how they lived, what thye did, and how they proclaimed Jehovah's name and will.

There is debate among even those of The True Christian Faith concerning prophets... I would say that a majority would say that the last prophet of God to mankind was John The Baptist. Using the definition that a true Prophet was God's insturment to bring instruction to His people. As God's Word and Will were made compleat an known to mankind through Jesus The Christ, there was,and is, no longer any need for Prophets... any claiming to be God's prophets since Christ, to this day, are false and may be totaly dismissed...
JESUS WAS NOT A PROPHET.....JESUS WAS, AND IS, GOD

Yes, Christians believe there have been several prophets. Many of them, Islam also recognizes. There are several books of the Bible by Prophets. Examples of these are Isaiah, Jeremiah, Ezekiel, Amos, Micah, Zechariah, etc.
Besides the books which are named after Prophets, there is also Elijah, Moses, and of course Jesus.
Of course they and their teachings are all respected. But the only one which is worshiped is Jesus.

We respect prophets, those from the past and those amongst us today. Some of us have the Gift of Prophecy but that is only an aspect of our ministry. Prophets have a whole ministry to themselves. We test all prophecy to see that it does not conflict with the written Word of God. After all, the same Holy Spirit inspired both and cannot contradict Himself.

Yes we have prophets, some the same as you. We do not accept Mohamed as a prophet. We have prophets still today, some real, some are false, you must judge them by whether their prophesies come true or not, and they must line up with the Word, and character of God.
Some denominations do not believe in them, but as a Pentecostal, I know they are still around.

Christians believe in prophets, seers, and revelators. The meat of the question is do we respect the prophets. The abvious answer is NO. People have killed the prophets, have ran them off their property. If we were to listen to the prophet we would not be in the predicament we are in. GOD is love. Prophets are annointed by Heavenly Father. Prophets love GOD because they obey his instructions. Do and are we willing to listen to GOD. If yes, than we are in a heap of doodo.
