Animals can have asthma or allergies.... if it is something that simple then good for you but be smart and go to the vet. If your regular vet can't figure it out... get a new one

She may have swallowed something that hasn't gone all the way down or if in contact with other dogs have kennel cough which can last 21 days or a lung or a heart problem -hard to tell without a Vet check which it is. The Kennel cough is the least dangerous and although annoying to the dog and owner hrdly ever fatal-the dog does not show signs of being sick. Did a quick search on coughing and hacking in dogs. if afater 2-3 weeks the dog is still coughing or he shows signs of being ill sooner stops eating, isn't as active as usually then you must take to a vet or it will get very serious and be more costly-have your dog checked and then after arrange a payment plan---just to have him checked should not be much but if the vet thinks serious may involve blood work or X-Ray but only and stress to Vet low on money for then will not do unnecessary tests as routine.

Most likely not parvo. they have diarrhea and it's bloody. Has the dog been wormed? If not does it's tummy feel swollen or are there any rice like hard eggs around her rectum? OIf so the eggs are tapeworms and that is caused from ingesting fleas. It'll need a worm pill from the vet. Some will just sell you the pill. Goes by Weight. Have you turned the heat on just recently? Maybe it gets hot. Try a cooler spot for it to sleep. it could just be nerves. As long as it's had worm treatment and is drinking and eating you could just watch for a day or two, not hot and dry nose...temp? good luck.

I am not saying this is the case, but has she had any mysterious toy disappearances lately? Maybe she ate something she shouldn't have, and now it is lodged in her throat and she is trying to get it out! You may want to check her mouth and throat really well, and then take her to the vet. Sorry, I normally try to give suggestions that don't require a vet, but in this case I think it may be necessary. Especially since it has been going on for an extended period of time.

The dog may have allergies, a respiratory infection or kennel cough, they all need to be treated by a vet...When you become a pet owner there are things that you need to be able to do for your pets and you always need to be prepared financially to take care of your animals medically ...It is a part of being a responsible pet owner..Your dog needs to be seen by a vet, noone can diagnose your dog over the internet....go to the website "westwoodanimalhospital.com" it may have some info. for you....

If you got your dog from some kind of kennel it could be kennel cough it will sound like your dog is going to hack up it's lungs before it gets better..In time it will go away..also if your dog has been exposed to another dog that has came from a kennel it spreads from one dog to another

when was the last time you used carpet fresh? my GSD had the same problem and the carpet fresh was the problem, he was "sniffing it" and the powder got into his throat and some even in his lungs, I won't even use baby powder around him now as he is so "nosey" about powder things.a vet check would not be a bad idea, but if it stops in a few days I would stop using any powdery stuff around him...

she may have kennel cough. When my dogs had it they were hacking/couphing and sounded wheezy. Your probably going to need to make a trip to the vet.

I am sorry, but I don't know what could be wrong; but please at least CALL a VET and explain your circumstances, maybe he can give you some advise.
