I have a really really bad infected finger and I need some thing I can do at home to help it heal. I am ready have some over the counter antibiodics and I don't really think going to the doctors for a tiny infection on my finger is an option,I have had infected finger before but this one is really bad.
Thank you I hope you can help me out

it is a finger nail infection, you know like when you get a infected ingrown toe nail, it isn't a cut or anything, it is just from biting my nails

Peroxide. Watch it bubble up. Get some ointment, neosporin, put it in a band aid and wrap it up. Change it twice a day at least.

i had an infection under my big toe nail...and i went to the Dr and they just had me soak it in hydrogen peroxide like twice a day for like 5-10 minutes. if that doesn't clear it up then you might need something else from the Dr.

Go see a doctor, you can easily get blood poisioning. Check to see if you have a red line going down your finger from the wound. You still need to see a doctor.

If it's <> bad - go to a doctor.

If not, try soaking for a few minutes in warm water
Put some neosporin on it.

i would go to the doctor. i know a woman who's finger got infected and she had to have her arm removed up to her elbow. and no, i'm not making that up. the infection spread, obviously. although if you have antibiotics already, it may not get that bad. i would still check with your doctor though.

Soak it in warm water with sea salt dissolved in it.

Use plantain leaves under the bandage you put over it- it draws the infection out.

Worked every time for my infected toenails.

If it's like a tiny cut, maybe you can try hydrogen peroxide, that usually kills all germs and does not sting as bad (if at all) and is not as bad for your body as alcohol.
