get a equifax credit report, it will tell you who you owe and how much. make sure to keep your reciept for payment incase they dont strike it from your credit report so you can prove you paid it.

Before writing a check, write a letter. The credit reporting company should be able to supply full contact information.
If it is a lot of money you may want to involve a lawyer who deals in personal estates. But if you don't recognize the creditors, how do you know if they are legit?
Kudos for wanting to pay your debts.

Get a free credit report if you are denied credit. Then contact the companies on your credit report. See what it will take to settle up & take the bad marks off your credit report.

Usually credit reporting agencies ask that you try this first.

Your chum stole money from a school fund, and then requested you to purchase her out of a bind, and also you probably did. the actual undeniable actuality that she misused the money must have informed you she wasn't strong or straightforward. The screaming and profanity is a fashion to intimidate you into ignoring her debt. Wait some days and then call her back. tell her you've expenditures to pay and decide her to pay off the deepest loan on a particular date. do not get drawn into an argument. that's about all you do, you do not have any thanks to emphasize her to pay you back.

Just pull your own credit reports. All 3 of them... Experian, Equifax and TransUnion. The companies you owe will be listed with their names, addresses and phone numbers.

Try the Better Business Bureau. If you have any name at all you'll have to do an extensive search. Also use the advance search for BBB. Good Luck.
