What kind of dance? Just a random? If so jeans & a nice shirt are fine. Or a skirt. You don't need anything fancy for a regular dance. If it's a formal or something, than you will need to wear a dress.

7th grade school dances don't matter as much as high school dances, people don't wear dresses and stuff. If you feel comfortable in jeans or something, wear that and a nice top, just feel comfortable in what you are wearing. Don't stress.

In junior high, my school dances were super low-key. We always went in PJ's and had pillow fights.

Buuut...I guess yours isn't like that...so...

Wash your favorite jeans. Wear them. Find a cute (DON'T GO SLUTTY. DON'T DO IT!) top that looks good on you in your closet...and just have fun.

Don't worry about trying to impress the guy, worry about having a good time with him. Cause if you have a good time, he'll like you and then you don't have to always dress super perfect and he'll still like you!

Oh my... wearing nothing to the dance will get you sent home without even getting to have a glass of punch.
