Because that's the way it works.
You reject them and they aren't your friends anymore.

Relationships, not the intimate ones per se,can be extremely complicated but its essentially easy to solve the common probs many others experience-a lot of guys prefer to read body language than articulate,so when women are all flirtatious and open certain guys can take that as a sign to move forward-best thing is to be wary and safe with everyone, and gradually open up once you've established a solid relationship where both you and him know the boundaries.
Talk to them. It's not an easy thing to do,but it works when nothing else does.

They're immature and unconfortable.
That actually really stinks.
3 of my best friends in the world are guys...they're like the brothers I've never had. They can be annoying pretty much all the time, but you love them anyway. =]
You should talk to them. If you are really out there with your relationship with someone else, it might also make them uncomfortable. Consider the idea they really like you, not just as a friend too.

Listen girl I here ya a lot of girls have that problem and I am sure there is a guy out there who wants a girl that's just a friend and for now if they can't handle friendship only tell them to back off.

Now this guy you are in love with - is he actually your boyfriend or is he someone you would really like to get to know and go out with? Everyone obviously finds out about this sooner or later. I take it you are a young girl. So I will say the boys don't want to get in trouble with this other boy you are in love with. They figure he will be jealous and they don't want to start a fight.

Men are always looking for opportunities on an intimate level. If they realize that you are taken or your interests lie elsewhere than they feel no need to pursue the relationship further.

sometimes you have to also study how you interact with them. you might be too sweet which gives them the wrong impression that you also feel something for them. sometimes you have to not treat guys too sweet. we tend to misinterpret girls sweetness as having a feeling for us.

Maybe you are leading them on, and they feel like you are a tease.
