I went to a well respected spiritual person as a last resort because nothing could explain a certain chain of bad experiences that were happening-----she told me my x had a picture of me, a piece of my hair, a piece of my clothing , in a container which was buried in a cemetery somewhere......I do not know much on this subject....any info is appreciated

On the other hand, to buried a container in a cemetery can be mean to let you go which she might still in love with you but have to force herself not to thinking about you.....

If shes brazillian it means she probably pratices some form of catholic witchcraft, this kind of witchcraft arose as native religions mixed with the catholic influnece during missionary work. If she has those things, and wishes you harm she'd probably use them in some sort of magical work. If you belive in this sort of thing, which is much more important than if she doesn anything, she could do you some serious damage. The best thing to do would be to go to a priest (catholic and probably hispanic or they're going to look at you like your nuts) and explain your problem. Then he'll probably ask you what you need forgiveness for, purify you though confession, and then you can go move on because she'll really have nothing on you. If your not catholic, this maybe slightly harder. Anyway go get purified if you feel its nessary. Hope this helps.

Two ways to solve the problem one talk to her and try to find out why she wishes you ill.Then find a way to help her get over her problem.If that isn't acceptable get in touch with the spiritual person and see if they can help you again in either turning the bad luck back on her or ending it for good.Know that by her doing this though no matter how much she feels she's justified will come back and hit her hard for Karma backlash is a b*** and no one gets away from it.

Get a book on visualization. Albitris is a good source. Sit down in a dark and quiet place. Clear your mind. Then visualize a ray of white light coming down from above and surrounding you. Without going into detail here, this light will protect you and any thing another person is trying to do to you, as far as magic and stuff like that, will not be able to penetrate the "shield" of protective light.
