The potential sire's parents were buff (sire) and black/white (dam). His grandparents were tri (brown/white/tan) bred to red roan, on the paternal side and black/white bred to tri (brown/white/tan) maternal.
The dam's parents were black/white (dam) and chocolate/tan (sire).

Any of the pups could pick up any of the markings from his/her parents/grandparents. You will probably find a variety of different markings on the pups.

You have to be talking about English Cockers because American Cockers only come in three color veriaties (Black, ASCOB, and Party)
The color genetics in English Cockers is about as complicated as it gets, and I'm not all that convinced that the color charts are that accurate.

But the National club site seems to do the best at trying to make sence out of all of it.

words and languages evolve over the years, so I assume 'coloration' to be the older version. And 'coloration' to be the prominent style. They the two get an identical message in the time of, so i does no longer be too confuzzled (my be conscious!).

its going to be hard to determine it all goes into how strong one of the dogs genes are and what their pedigree is like yes believe it or not you can breed two black dogs and get a white its alll in the genetics

you will probably a lot of tri puppies, since both parents are different colored.
