I wouldn't do it. My mom actually used the advantage that she had for her dog, on her cat, and the cat almost died! I had no idea that there was really a difference in the products for a cat or a dog, but apparently there is. I wouldn't do it, just in case.

I wouldn't recommend it. Each contain different ingredients ment for each species. If you put dog advantage on a cat it can kill them. Dog kind is very toxic to cats. I'm not positive if it is the same for dogs but I wouldn't try it. Also not only could your dog react from it, it may not work as effectivly on your dog since it is meant for cats. You may want to consult your vet first. They do make advantage for small dogs though

If you are talking about the smallest dog size, both should have the same amount of product in the tubes (and no difference in product type). Of course, it is always safer to use the actual cat products on cats (since you do NOT want to use Canine Advantix on cats, or most over the counter topicals made for dogs on cats).

I wouldn't do that. I put a dog flea treatment on my cats and they had a terrible reaction. I thought they were going to die. I could be the same for you, your dog could have a reaction like my cats.

No. There are different ingredients in the kind for a dog and the kind for a cat, and are specific for each animal.
