You have two different options. You can use the standard mileage rate of 48 1/2 cents per mile, which covers everything; or, you can use actual expenses, which consist of fuel, lease, insurance, licensing, repairs, etc. Once you chose a method you are stuck with it for the life of that vehicle, you can't change from one year to next or anything.

If used only for your business, deduct the expenses. If used partially for business partially for personal use, need to keep logs and prorate
