Is it true that you should limit your fish and other seafood intake due to amount of methyl mercury contained in some varieties? If so, which kinds of fish should you try to stay away from? And if consumed excessively, what would/could the outcome be? I eat ALOT of broiled/baked fish, should I be concerned? How about over time if I continue to eat it on a regular basis?

This is a lot of warnings about levels of mercury and other toxins in fish, but the good health properties of the fish outweigh the bad. Even with the mercury it is better for you than consuming a lot of pork or other dishes that aren't so good for you, so keep enjoying your fish.
I have read that tuna and salmon were ones that contained a higher level of mercury. You can always look for fish in health food type stores or try for types that are raised or caught and certified to be free of toxins. Brands that carry the kosher seal/label should be a cleaner, healthier product.

Like TLM said, everything is bad for you this week and OK to eat next week.
The effects of mercury intake are very similar to lead. It will affect you if you eat massive amounts of it, and have a weakened immune system. If you are healthy, you won't see the side effects.
If you want to avoid mercury in your fish, never, ever buy farm raised or wild caught fish or seafood. Both are raised in domestic fisheries, which do not have the natural cleansing defenses that the oceans do.

I saw a thing on the news about this a couple of weeks ago. It said that it could be harmful to you, but you would have to consume like massive amounts, and that there's really no need to worry because the risks of certain other everday foods were higher than this one.

It just depends on the type. For instance, Tuna can do harm to ur body if u eat it too much of on a regular basis. so bascially it all depends on the type, Lobster(my FAV) is not bad for u.
Hope this helps!

think about all of the constantly changing do's and don't "they" tell us to follow.
eggs
red wine/alcohol
red meat
pork
etc etc etc
you would have to eat a lot of fish (maybe everyday) to worry about mercury levels becoming toxic.
