try another dentist... sounds like this one is not giving you the comfort you need....another thing you can stop getting cavities by: cutting out sugar and soft drinks, or at least go sugar free and diet drinks, brushing and flossing are most important at night before you go to bed. good luck

Yes, talk to your dentist about your pain-free options. If he doesn't want to administer, then change dentists!

I read an article in the newspaper about dentists using laughing gas, and even general anesthesia in patients with a phobia of dentists!

If not laughing gas, at least he should inject you with a local anesthetic. You really shouldn't be feeling pain.

Most dentists do not use nitrous oxide. I have had trouble with dentist being able to numb my teeth in order to work on them. I get really anxious in the chair and i can't relax. I suggest you find a dentist that will administer nitrous for you. I'm with you on the drilling i can not handle it, and the nitrous totally relaxed me and I didn't know what was happening as far as the dental work goes.

Your dentist probably will use gas, but you have to ask and your insurance generally does not cover it. I always pay for it, money well spent!!

IF YOU WANT LAUGHING GAS (nitrous oxide) AND YOUR CURRENT DENTIST OFFER THIS, THEN CHANGE DENTISTS.
