i have worked in the medical field for 12 years now, let me give you some advice. if you were to take a scraping from under all your fingernails and view it under a microscope, you would NEVER bite your fingernails again. the bacteria that grow under there are disgusting.

They sell some stuff in pharmacy stores that you can paint on like nail polish and it tastes really awful; that might be a deterrent. Another method people have used is to put a rubber band around your wrist. Every time you find yourself biting your fingernails, snap the rubber band. It hurts, and maybe just making yourself aware of the problem and associating it with pain might help you to stop. A last idea is to get a really nice manicure, which may make you think twice about ruining such an attractive hand by biting. Good luck stopping!

I used to bite my fingernails when i was nervous. The next time you feel the urge to bite them force yourself not to... The more times you override that first instinct the better you'll get at not doing it. Good luck!

Chew gum Or get tooth picks you keep chewing nails you will get a heart atack cause the dirt gets up in your blode and claugs up your heart
