I lost my w-2 from last year - how do I get another one? I already went to the IRS site. Is there an easy way to get it?

Your employer should have a copy

If you have Your last checkstub, that can be used at any time now because 2005 is no longer done electronically. If you live in chicago you can go to 230 s dearborn and request a form 1722 for 2005, which is all your federal income for 2005. That is the IRS building! Very rarely will your employer reissue a w2. Hope this helps!

Your employer is required by law to keep payroll records for a period of time; you should just contact your employer from 2005 and ask for another copy of your W-2.

who ever filled it out last year, has a copy of it. you call them and they will mail, fax or you can pick up a copy for free. They do this so you come back again and again.

your employer will have a copy but if they act crazy they might charge a fee.
