I need a few ideas to raise funds for our women's fellowship.

Our church has about 150 active members and about 70% of our members are women under 30. I would like some ideas to bring the group of women together as well as raise funds.

Thanks

A special auction of 'baskets' is a great fund raiser. Invite other churches or women's groups,etc.. to the auction, serving refreshments, during a show of items up for bid examples: A tea lovers basket; porceline tea pot or cups& saucers with different teas from around the world, a bath & body baskets{usually can get some donated, lotions soaps,.scratch brush, shower gels etc..] A vacation basket if someone has home to give away a long weekend or week at beach , mountains, sand bucket with sunscreens, beach towels etc.. Mountains package Blanket, flash light ,maps of hiking trails or ski packages, lift tickets, A sewing or knitting basket..yarn needles, patterns etc..sweet baskets??? You get the idea, these baskets also are great as Christmas gifts, as they are wrapped in celephane & pretty bows or flower decorated baskets. Product baskets can be donations from stores, members,etc.. Bidding gets high for vacation give aways ,all baskets open off at $20.00. The bidding gets fierce & fun,as the cause is good. The auction can raise $5000.-plus. have lots of pretty baskets to bid on & serve, member volunteers baked goods & tea & coffee's etc..A local celebrity,or news women are usually good auctioneers . Make the event fun & lively & it can become a annual event everyone enjoys. PS door tickets can also be sold for $5.00 per person??? Let everyones baskets be creative & fun. Cakes can also be auctioned off at same event.Hope this helps! Plan on a month or two in advance for maximum donations. [movie tickets etc..] sorry these are just fun events for Sat. afternoon or evening. May God bless your fundraising event, however you chose to go.

A great fund raiser is a bake sale.Have the ladies bake pies cakes and cookies (at thier own expense) and sell them. You can set up at wal-mart and they will match your profits up to 500 dollars. Also take orders from the police station,we made a few hundred dollars just from deputies and jailers! You need alot of volunteers to buy ingrediants and cook, the ingrediants will cost just a few people too much money.Good luck and god bless!

Do you know anyone that could donate something? Like an ipod (if they work at an electronics store), a dinner for two (if they work at a restaurant), etc. Then you can raffle the price. My mother does a lot of fundraisers and raffles always raise tons of funds.

i do no longer see why maximum church communities immediately are so pondering in basic terms elevating funds so as that they could in basic terms circulate have exciting and waste their lives while the leaders could desire to be making disciples and hitting the streets and places of popularity to share the gospel and supply people a raffle to respond to the sturdy information of Jesus Christ. no longer in basic terms that yet they could become in contact with loose public service initiatives, helping elderly people around their properties, sparkling up, etc, and use those opportunities to share the gospel and teach the affection of Jesus with words and sturdy works to returned it up.

Have a car boot sale - everyone brings in their unwanted stuff and sells it. Remember, one man's trash is another man's treasure.
