I do not make a habit out of smelling my cat's breath but ince she only has eaten as her main food NUTRO Dry Cat food which has NO BYProducts(the junk part of the animal that they grind up and the customer buying thinks when it says chicken is meat-instead ground up feet, beaks EEEEEWWWW! gets a small can of NUTRO as a special treat she has no bad breath. Dry Cat food(or Dog food) cleans the teeth as she chews so with teeth clean no stuff there like bacteria to cause bad breath.

OK, so cat breath smells like cat food. However, if you have your cat's teeth cleaned by a vet on a regular basis, they do not develop that stinky breath.

It makes me laugh when I recollect vet checking my cat's mouth and saying - smells like cat. So once in while I gently open my cat's mouth and tell her - SMELLS LIKE CAT.
It is our private joke ( she would argue that for sure) but I really enjoy doing it because I love and care for her, because she is bad.

If it's 'normal' kat breath, it's not offensive, but if it's like fish breath or chili dog breath, get out of town jack. Time for some Kitty Krest.
