not plexiglass, its fiberglass. there are a lot of additives so i'm sure there is some chemical added that increases this effect.

i quit chewing three days ago now but i have an interesting story. once i bought and old fashioned spitoon. i used this spitoon for awhile but realized it was more of a pain than its worth so i stopped using it. well, i forgot to clean it out and a couple years went by without it being touched. the juice evaporated and the tobacco disinegrated. what was left was a web of fiberglass! it was so weird looking, imagine a web that has been crystalized. the fiberglass shards where really small but there was a ton of them! you know when you can see dip shine in the light? thats what it is. hopefully i have quit for good. normally i dont make it past one day ...

I do not condone dipping, chewing, or the use of tobacco. Most of these comments however, are wrong. Dip does not contain fiber glass, and dip does not cut your gums in order for the nicotine to enter your bloodstream. The nicotine enters the body through the salivary glands. This is where saliva is produced.

Nicotine will enter your system from contact with the skin. It does not require fiberglass or chemicals to do so. The fiberglass added to some smokeless tobacco products is used to enhance the amount of nicotine entering your system by putting tiny abrasions in your mucous membrane.
Chemicals are added to increase the Ph of the tobacco, which increases your body's absorption of the nicotine.

So in a nut shell, it is neither, but both increase the amount of nicotine that will enter your system.

It depends on how the cigar was made.If it was hand rolled as the really expensive ones are, then the guy who rolled it at the plant where these are made is responsible. If it is mass produced in a factory, then the manufacturer is responsible.Of course in the former case too the owner of the plant where the cigars are rolled is guilty.File a complaint with the company along with proof of purchase and the remnants of the cigar and the contaminant addressing it to the Head Honcho in the marketing division with copies to the in-charge of production and the CEO.

Plexiglass???

It enters thru your gums, into your blood stream. The gums are very soft adn full of blood. This happends to be where many cancerous tumors are grown, too, after years of dipping snuff.

the glass cuts up your gums just enough for the nicotine to transfer directly into your blood stream. kinda like gills on a fish
