Put them in a closet together for a few hours.

I'm not sure if this will help but when I moved back home I brought my cat and they had an old cat. We had a big dog kennel that we put in the living room and took turns putting the cats in there. For 3 hours Mickey would be in kennel and Nikita free to roam and smell the kennel , then vice versa. This was done for 3 weeks, til the hissing and growling stopped. Then we let them be together but supervised with the water gun ready to spray any nastieness. After a few days of spraying they started ignoring each other. Then low and behold, they became good buddies.

Most cats will do well with a new puppy. I know siamese can be more temperamental than most cats. I have had a couple of siamese. Just watch them closely at first. Don't leave them alone together. Just watch for any aggression issues with the cat. Great choice of puppy too! Want to join a chihuahua group?

Just let the cat be around it for a while. Hold the pup so the cat won't try to attach it or something. If the cat is not playful, I wouldn't the let pup be around it. The pup is way to small for being alone with a cat that might not be used to other animals. Go slow and it might take some time for your cat to adjust.

i had a simular experience with that... i just let the cat walk around the house alone for a few hours and let it explore the house. then i took my puppy and held it close to me but went to the cat and played with it. my puppy observed and i let her smell the cat, and i rubbed her against the side of my cat and just slowly got them close. it took a few dayz but after they got used to the " i wont hurt you" routine... they started to play with each other.

First of all missy...it's "chihuahua"...it's ok i didn't knw how to spell either at first.
Ummmm......put your cat in a cage or something and then let your chi (chihuahua) watch it or something. Then let the cat out and hold its front paws and let someone else hold the chi so they can look at each other and sniff....
