I just a tv ad yesterday saying its back. Not all Mcd's carry it. It might also be a regional item or they rotate it..say like the west coast is now and then the eastcoast is March...and it just keeps going so they can keep producing it at low cost.

they are only around for a month or two a year. did i just miss them? of course its easy to replicate the taste -- put a squirrel in bbq sauce and add a pickle. but that doesn't have the lines pressed in it.
