Due to the vast volume of alcohols involved in making a long island iced tea, I would say that it really doesn't make much of a difference what brands as the mixture of these ingredients in the final product renders them indistinguishable from pond water. After having one or two it won't make much of a difference anyway to the drinker.

My best Long Island has to have been made in:

Harry's Chocolate Shop, West Lafayette, IN
Go Boilers!!!

Stoli Vodka
Tanqueray Gin
Bacardi Light Rum
Cuervo Gold Tequila
De Kuyper Triple Sec is ok. Cointreau is better. If you use Triple Sec, go light on it.

You need to use "decent" quality liquor to make it taste good, but going top shelf is a waste of money in a mix like this.
