My knee feels heavy and I can't go up and down stairs very well. What should I do?

you should really go to the dr...the back of your knee, also called the popliteal fossa, contains a lot of important structures, nerves and blood vessels, that are crucial for the lower leg function...it really is best to get it checked out if you have any concerns...

You did not say your age or general health condition. But as a child I had a "Baker's Cyst" behind my knee and it was surgically removed.

See a chiropractor. Anytime you can't explain your pain you should get it checked out by a doctor.
