naturally i was blonde and then it turned this horrible blah dirty blonde around 8th grade. last year i dyed it medium brown and i really liked it, but some people (my parents mainly) said it was too dark since im really pale. i hate this nasty dirty blonde color coming out of my head. i dont want to be blonde again, and i really liked medium "chestnut" brown. should i just dye my hair again or were my parents right about darker hair colors not looking good on pale skin?

I had the same hair as you and for a while I had it dyed a light brown. It actually made my skin look darker. People said I looked like I had a tan. But I like blond. What would be really pretty is to put alot of natural blond highlights or weaves in your dirty blond hair.

Try red. I'm a dirty blonde too. I'm also a hairstylist since 1989. There are so many shades of red now I'm sure you can find one that will look good with your skin tone. Or you could always do like me and have red underneath and platinum blonde on the top. Good Luck. Cuttin Up

Do it a redish brown. The red will make it less intense, And the brown maked it less red. I have pale skin and its perfect. Try red hot browns, Copper sparks #67

hard to say...black can look really dramatic against pale skin...look thru some magazines and see if you can imagine any of the dark shades on you..try to find pale models, of course...i seem to keep picturing a short black bob with a little black dress and lots o' silver accessories---bangles, you know the way!

I don't like DARK on light skin( you don't want to look goth, do you?), but a light-chestnut with some red highlights may do the trick. good luck

how about having streaks put in your hair. put in soom blond and some coppery redish. this would give you a lighter brighter color.

you can go for golden brown . in light brown add gold color creative.u will get nice shade.

i would do carmel color...its darker then dirty blonde but lighter then chestnut....
