Easy question....... If you are speaking academically, an organic compound is one which has the element Carbon as it's focal point, known as carbon based. Organic Chemistry it the study of carbon containing molecules. inorganic chemistry is the study of just the opposite.
Organic chemistry is a very important branch of chemistry. all life as we know it is carbon based, including most of our fossil fuels.
Learning organic chemistry is less about math and statistics and more about rules and spacial reasoning. like Lego's. if you want to make a loop with Lego's then you have to use certain parts in a specific manner.

It is true that organic molecules have carbon, but some inorganics also contain carbon, e.g. sodium carbonate. Organic chemistry is generally considered the chemistry of compouds containing carbon with covalent bonds.
