It's not pain, just a strange numb feeling or like someone is pressing their thumb into the back of my head

. I see a chiropractor regularly and am going tomorrow. Hopefully, he can help. It's been like this off and on for two days.

Any numbness infers a nerve blockage...there is a nerve serving the back of the head with many branches ... there is pressure on the nerve in the upper cervical region. You should have almost immediate relief from your treatment. It may take a day or two for the inflammatory process to be reduced. Your doctor will advise you well.

well, it could be allergies, or possibly a sinus infection. I would take a decongestant and and antihistamine to start draining your sinus cavities. If it doesn't seem to get any better after a couple of days I would see a doctor.
