ok my friend found a cat (girl) stuck in her tree it's grey w/stripes kind of white and orange with graysh greenish eyes any ideas what to name her???

My first thought for a name was "Lucky" since your girlfriend was nice enough to rescue her! Before you get to naming her though, please make sure she isn't someone else's cherished pet first. With such unusual coloring, she would be easy to describe.
She sound like a beautiful cat with a lovely calico fur coat. The cat that I had that looked like that I called Pumpkin and she was part Abyssinian.
Please give miss kitty a hug for me.

My all time favorite kitty name is "Underfoot" because cats are always rubbing up against your legs and are often "under foot". Or you could name the cat "Pickles" after the children's story "Pickle the Fire Cat". Pickles was found in a tree by Mrs. Good Kind. She tried to keep it in the house but the cat kept climbing trees and the firemen had to keep coming and getting Pickles out of the tree. So then a clever fireman suggested to Mrs. Goodkind that the fire dept. adopt the cat as a work cat and Pickles the fire cat went to fires and saved people and stuff. Thought of Pickles - since your cat likes tree. Whatever you name her - congratulations on the new love in your life!

She sounds very pretty - hope your friend puts up an advert somewhere saying that she's found her - just in case someone is desparately searching for their lost cat. It's good of your friend to rescue her though, and to look after here whilst she sorts out a new home for her.
That aside, how about Possum as a name?

I have really liked giving cats names that begin with a K sound -- they seem to respond better that way. Examples: Kyger (pronounced like tiger), Kow, Kute, Kyra, Cous-Cous.
