well, you don't really have a choice since a relationship is 2 people and he's opting out right now. So, let him go with as much grace and dignity as you can muster, and if he wants to return he will.

That is never good, but if you refuse you will probably lose him for sure. Why don't you see if he is willing to set some ground rules with you? Define what is allowed, what type of contact the two of you will have, A set period of time when the 2 of you will get together to re-evaluate the situation, etc. Even though you are not wanting this you need to respect his needs if he is being upfront about his reasons. On the other hand if this is his way of keeping you on the sidelines while he goes out and fools around, I think you have every right to tell him to commit or walk.

I think that you should stand up for yourself in this situation. Tell him either he wants to be with you or not, and if he already cheated on you then why be with him? They always say that they feel really bad, but once a cheater always a cheater. Im sorry hunny, but if he knows that he can get away with it and have you there waiting for him like that then he will use it. It wont end up working out. Good luck though hope you make a good decision.

Do you really like/love him? If so tell him if you want to break up or go on a "break" then you must not really like/love me. I know someone that has been in your position. Trust me he will choose the right thing.

It's ok to have breaks! He's just trying to find out if he really likes you as much as he thinks he does! Trust me...my boyfriend has done this lots of times! And...you shouldn't call him! You need to make him miss you! Make yourself scarce! Seriously...IT WILL WORK!

Ok I am gonna say this he has his eyes on someone else, and he is trying to get the easy way out of the relationship to me. I wouldn't make him that easy for him. Whatever you do don't compromise yourself for him or anyone else. Good luck on your choice only you and God know whats best for you ok/
