Nicotine is a drug make no mistake about that. You can overdose on just as any drug. Overdose will effect your heart. Follow the instructions please.

It might. I once knew a guy in college who put a nicotine patch on even though he had never smoked. He had heard nicotine was a stimulant. Within an hour he was dizzy, was breathing heavily, had projectile vomiting, and horrible stomach cramps...excellent high, heh, heh. That was a single patch.

i had a friend who put on a patch and smoked a cigarette and had to go to the er for nicotine overdose

depends on how many. i have read that toddlers have eaten buts from the ashtray and overdosed. but you can never trust what you read anymore
