It'd be weird if stress didn't cause that. So yeah, my answer is yes, I believe stress can cause you to throw up.

This is certainly possible. Stress affects people in many different ways. For me it is tension in my shoulders then my neck. If it goes on long enough or is severe enough I feel it as a nauseated feeling in my stomach. Some people suffer with fever, body aches, upset stomach and/or high blood pressure. There have even been documented cases od rash and/or hives due to stress, though that is rare. I'm not a doctor but if this lasts more than a few days your friend should see a doctor. It could be something more than stress but even if it is stress these symptoms need to be looked into. The symptoms alone could be harmful. Remember, when our bodies hurt or tries to purge something, it is telling us that something is very wrong.
Sincerely,
Terry

It is certainly possible to throw up from stress. I would, however, tell your friend that she needs to see a doctor. Even if it is stress she needs some help in coping with it.

Yes it is possible to get sick from stress, the mind is very powerful. I have experianced alot of stress and often I would get so sick I would miss 4/5 days of school in a week. Stress is obviously not a physical condition, but it is still a pain that needs to be taken care of. You need to support your friend all throughout this problem and help her come out on the other side.

Yes a person can throw up because of stress, but if she's been doing it for a number of days I think I would advise her to get a pregnancy test done. If this isn't the problem then she needs to get to the bottom of what is causing her all this stress. Stress alone can make you very sick and weak without throwing up along with it.

Yes. Stress can cause someone to vomit. When people are begin to feel deep seated emotions or start re-experiencing old traumas, vomitting is a way the body/mind try's to get rid of these traumas/emotions. Stress can cause diseases and a lot of health problems. It sounds like your friend would benefit from counseling with a good therapist. Talk to your friend and tell her that you are worried about her. Gently suggest that she should seek counseling. And, if she doesn't feel comfortable going to see a counselor the first time alone, maybe you or one of her other friends that are concerned about her could go along with her. A lot of therapists/counselors greatly appreciate another person's perspective if your friend is agreeable to this of course. Good Luck! And she is lucky to have friends that are concerned about her.

Yes it is possible. There are numerous reports of those who suffer bullying to not be able to go to school for fear. The fear (stress) is so great they get physically sick. There is also alot of mental health issues that can present physical symptoms. For example, depression can cause backaches and abdominal paing; bipolar causes mirgrains. There is no clear reason why it happens...but it does. So, yes, stress can cause you to throw up.

Yes you can, but what you need to do is find out what has her so stressed. She may need to talk to someone, a friend or a counselor. She may even need to see a doctor, she could have an ulcer from her stresses.
