tomorrow is friday... I have a half-day at school and im not sure If I want to go. my mom is letting me stay home with impunity(no punishment) if I choose to. my sister has a college fair to go to and my mom is taking the day off work to go with her. I dont have really any benefit from staying home because I have no homework that needs to be done and my friends will all be at school, but I have no benefit of going. there will be a veterans day assembly that I hafta sit through all day. Plus, my mom drives me to/from school and I cant ride the bus so I would be stuck for an hour or two waiting for her to come. so what should I do? stay home.. or go to school

stay home and have a movie a thon by yourself. spending down time just relaxing can have it's benefits. make sure you shower first thing in the morning and put some fresh pajamas on and just kick back. make some popcorn. get your pillows and blankets and make everything comfy and cozy. enjoy!

(after some time has gone by and my daughter is doing well in school - i'll give her a "hooky" day to just know that while all her friends are in school working, she's getting rewarded with staying home doing the movie thing or out playing in the snow or whatever... it's a day of vacation and incentive)

If there is no benefit to staying home, then I would just go. You never know....You may miss some really great gossip or miss out on a fun activity! Besides, it isn't good to get into habits like that.

well im in 11th grade and im getting sick so i stayed home yesterday and today, but we have half days like that 2, and they are pointless! i usually go because u still get counted absent, but if u need a break and wanna jsut chill tomorow, then i say go for it, escpecially if ur mom says its ok! lol cuz i ahve to practictally beg my parents to let me stay home even if i say im sick! lol so just do it! all those other suckas will be in school and ull be at home! lol

I say stay home. What are you going to get out of an assembly anyway?

I say as long as you haven't missed too many days this year stay home. It's nice to get some rest and you will have time to yourself. There's no harm in that.

In your case, I would say stay home. Don't seem to be any point to you going. Catch a movie and relax. (wish I could trade places with you lol, I have a long trip ahead of me tomorrow and have to get up at 4am LOL)

If your not going with your mom and sister go to school that will at least give you something to do for half the day.

Go to school! You don't realize it, but, schools lose a lot of money due to children staying home for no reason. Consider it a free day!

Go be with your friends at school, you never know though, this veteran coming could actually be educational. when you're listening to the vet, just remember that he actually fought in the wars that you read about in the text books. the veteran IS history!
