Why is it that Anglais-Canada forgets that there are two sets of lyrics for our national anthem?
The English lyrics you've seen... here are the French ones..

O Canada! Terre de nos aïeux,
Ton front est ceint de fleurons glorieux!

Car ton bras sait porter l'épée,
Il sait porter la croix!

Ton histoire est une épopée
Des plus brillants exploits.

Et ta valeur, de foi trempée,
Protégera nos foyers et nos droits.

Protégera nos foyers et nos droits.

Which, roughly translated into English means:

O Canada! Land of our forefathers
Thy brow is wreathed with a glorious garland of flowers.
As in thy arm ready to wield the sword,
So also is it ready to carry the cross.
Thy history is an epic of the most brilliant exploits.
Ch.
Thy valour steeped in faith
Will protect our homes and our rights
Will protect our homes and our rights.

Oh and another thing! O Canada does NOT have the same tune as God Save the King/Queen. And that was the anthem for Canada (British Commonweath Country people!) until we adopted our own.

As for a song? Anything by Bryan Adams, Barenaked Ladies or Celine Dion... lol... *Fennylaise ducks under the incoming wash of backbacon, toques and maple syrup being tossed at him by fellow Canucks*

While "O Canada!" is the official anthem, The theme song to "Hockey Night in Canada" is also instantly recognized across the nation.

Depends. If you are looking for the national anthem lots of people have already indicated, we have some other patriot themes:

Maple leaf forever
Hockey night in Canada theme
Bob and Doug MacKenzie call of the wild
Anne Murray's Snow Bird
Stompin Tom's hockey night in canada

And many others from other parts of Canada such as from Quebec, mon pays ce n'est pas un pays c'est l'hiver.... which yanks used the same tune to from "From LA to New York"....

Hope this helps.

It's O' Canada very short song compared to USA.

O Canada!
Our home and native land!
True patriot love in all thy sons command.

With glowing hearts we see thee rise,
The True North strong and free!

From far and wide,
O Canada, we stand on guard for thee.

God keep our land glorious and free!
O Canada, we stand on guard for thee.

O Canada, we stand on guard for thee
