I recently started going to the gym 5 days a week for an hour. I usually walk 3.5 miles on the treadmill while I'm there. I stopped drinking soda and usually eat something low in calories during the days such as oatmeal or yogurt. The only challenge now is that my fiance and I have different schedules and always eat out for supper. Will I still lose weight?

As long as you still make good food choices when you're eating out, you should start seeing results soon.

Check out the Oprah site, she had Dr. Oz on and he had many good ideas on diets. Remember you are buildiing muscle by working out so you will or can gain wieght since fat weighs less. but you will be more fit and trim so go my measurements not by wieght. Eating high fiber, fruits, vegs, fish etc and your energy will sore. You do not have to stop eating, you can eat as much as you want it is more what you eat and we are all terrible eaters in America. One trick is to eat a small handful of nuts 30 min before you eat. It takes our brain 30min before it knows how much food it wants.. so if you sit down and eat fast, the brain takes too long before it knows. Drink your water and eat nice and slow and have big healthy meals 3 times a day. You will loose the weight and be healthy. it all takes time so no crash diets. Sugar is another bad things which you are stopping that, for me I would die without sugar which is bad. Eating out is not hard, just watch what you eat, turn away the bread and butter, it is a killer. Olive oil should be always replaced and used instead of butter. Stay with low fat foods when eat out, go with vegs, chicken, fish etc. and if you just want treat once and awhile.go for it. But eating a fiber breakfast will help you. You sound like you are on the right track with the gym etc. I use to be a waitress for 12 years now have a sit down job and it has been bad on me.
Dont eat super late either can help

Here is what you need to do, if you are serious about losing weight and keeping it off. Eat 6 small meals a day about every 4 hours. Here what that will do for you, your metabolism will increase (i.e. Loose weight) and you will have more engry. If you go on a diet and eat less, your metabolism will slow down and store to fat. That is why diets dont work. Only the size of your fist, carbs (examples:baked potato, pasta, oatmeal, beans, corn, melon, apples, fat free yogurt, whole wheat breads)in one and protien (examples:chicken breast, swordfish, shrimp, turkey breast) in the other. You can also eat vegetables and salads with any meal, they dont have none or little fat). 30min cardo exercise every day. Any of these(examples: walking, jogging, swimming, running, biking, ect), Monday cardo, tues upper body (arms: curls, tricep extensions, pull ups, front press)(abdominals: leg pull crunch, leg raises), (chest: bench press, butterfly, pullover)(shoulders: front press, arm pullover, cross county skier machine)(back:seated row, lat pull downs, back extension)(YOU DONT HAVE TO DO IN ONE DAY, mix it up) wed cardo, thurs lower body (legs: leg pull, leg press, squats, lounges) fri cardo, sat upper. Sunday eat anything you want and dont exercising, you do this on sunday so your body doesnt go into starvation mode. YOU NEED TO TAKE SUNDAY OFF. If you stilck with this you will have a great body. also drink aleast 8oz of water daily! Stay away from Mcdonals, Wendys, ect because there is nothing good for you on the menu's even the salads are bad (beaon bits, cheeze, dressing, ect) Good Luck :)

If you make the right choices it's possible, but can be very hard to do. You could make some low fat, low calorie meals at home & freeze them. That way when you get home just pull them out of the freezer & microwave them.
If making meals at home isn't really an option, then just pay close attention to your choices on the menu. Ask for dressings on the side, ask if the meats are fried or grilled.

Eat smaller portions! When, you go out for dinner, order a normal size plate and automatically put half your meal in a "to go" box. You can eat the rest the next day for lunch. Remember to drink your water, too.

Depends on what you are eating when you eat out. Salad (w/o a lot of high caloric stuff added) or fried chicken? Or lots of bread too? And desert? All that adds to the calories.

when you eat out dont go to fast food joints. Even the salads at a McDonalds have as many calories as their Big N' Tastey. Eat somewhere healthy and just watch what you eat. not too bad

It depends on what you eat. Fast food will probably only keep you the same weight. Subway and most local diners are the best when it comest to healthiness.
