Yes, you will have to Move. Needs of the Army, especially if you accept an Active Commission. Yes, you will start off as an O1e, which is slightly more money thatn a straight O1 with no prior service.

If you are in college, ready to graduate, ROTC obviously is not the answer. You can still go to Officer Candidate School. Your commanding officer should have the information as to how you would be chosen to go to OCS. As for moving, well, again your Commanding Officer needs to provide that information. Once commissioned, you would probably start as Second Lieutenant.

If you are in the Army now, you may apply to enter West Point. If you are in college, then ROTC. Upon completion of your academy, you would be assigned to a duty station. You would be commissioned as a Second Lieutenant.

If you are already enlisted then Green to Gold is your best option. Yes you would start at O1. As for you moving...probably.

I would suggest that you go to the nearest US Army Recruiting Office and ask them and they will be glad to help. If you were in the Military as an NCO, you would have to be recommended
by your Company Commander to go to Officers Candidate
School and pass a series of tests in order for them to evaluate
you to see if you are qualified for OCS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

First off you would have to achieve a University diploma of some sort. They go to a Canadian Forces Recruiting center for more info. Paste URL into a browser for more info. Good Luck. I have been in the forces over twenty years and love it.
