my best friend and i always used to make fun of this kid last year. Now this year i learned more about him and i found out that i like him and may even love him. im really confused and i keep having daydreams about him. is this normal or am i like really weird. help me alot because i have no idea what to do?

you don't have to asks him out directly, since you said you know more about him, uses this info to your advantages. Involved yourself into the activities that he is into, for example if he play tennis then volunteer/offer youself to be his sparring partner n train together with him, then go have drinks or chill-out with him after the work-out. if he like certain movies then asks him whether he would like to join you for that particular movie this Sunday.
