My daughter is biracial, and i try to not wash her hair to often, and put oil moisterizer in it. she keeps scratching her head, and i have looked and see nothing wrong w/ it. She is only 2, is this a faze or could something else be wrong? It doesn't look like her scalp is to dry or oily either.

Use a magnifying glass. If she is spending time with other children. IE. Daycare etc. You might have any sort of passed on head lice. Might. Just check to make sure. If you continue treating the scalp with an oil and or moisturizer and to no avail. Have a doctor look at it.

My children has mixed cousins.Their mothers would only wash their hair every week to every week and a half.Im not sure if they was doing their kids right but I do think that you should keep her head greased well.Is her hair being braided? Tight braids can lead to a itchy scalp. Are you using regular shampoo and conditioner on her? If so that can be a problem. Are you straighting her hair? If so thats not good at her age. There could be a number of problems. You just got to ask her family members that are the same nationality as her for advice.

Its probabaly a phase. But try to switch shampoos. Here some baby shampoos that might help.

My head was itchy, but that was from dry scalp. I used Head And Shoulders: Dry Scalp. It works well, but its not a baby shampoo so I wouldn't recommend it. Maybe you can mix it a little with the baby shampoo. But I'm just a teen so I know nothing about babies!! Good luck

I am a stylist. Your daughter could be scratching her hair because of the moisturizer you are using. She could be allergic to an ingredient in it. Depending on her hair texture she could not even need a leave in moisturizer. Her scalp could be suffocating. I would take her to a salon and let them feel the texture and ask for advice. I wish I could help more, but without seeing and feeling her hair I wouldn't feel right giving advice.

I doubt it's a faze. Try switching shampoo or the oil moisterizer.

well if she is 2, then she shoulnt have too much hair, so just try to thoughraly look through her scalp and check for lice. ifn she has lice, try to buy the lice shampoo and comb and get them out a.s.a.p.

Little kids get their heads dirty easily so maybe she just has stuff in it that itches. It'd be ok to wash it every 2 or 3 days.
