Nah. My 8-month-old swallowed a washer. The doc told me to keep giving him "more solid food." It took 4 days of checking diapers but he finally passed it. So relax, no harm done.
There's a disease - I guess you could call it an eating disorder - in which people consume all sorts of inedibles, like coins and nuts 'n' bolts and sand and plaster. They might end up carrying around 10-15 pounds of metal in their digestive tract. Anybody remember what that's called?

I've accidently eaten a peice of aluminum foil before....it wasn't very big and it didn't make me sick. I'd say unless you have some sort of allergy to foil, you should be fine. If you're that worried about it though, maybe you should call your family doctor and talk to him/her about it.

I do know that if you bite into a piece of foil with a tooth filling you will think you are having your head cut off!!!worse than fingernails on a chalkboard!!

NO.It will pass through, but the long term effects of cooking food in tin foil is very much in question.

Probably not. Kids have been doing for as long as Wrigley has been making chewing gum wrapped in foiled paper..

It takes major amounts of indigesting foil to cause harmful effects.

I have accidentally done it before and did not get sick. It depends on how much you eat. I just had a little bit.
