the chicken. of course. i mean the amoeba EGG didn't start evolution. and God didn't create the sperm of adam he created adam so either way you believe the earth was formed, it was clearly the chicken.

and why do people always say "chicken" why can't they say...what came first? the ostrich or the egg?

OK there are two answers depending on do you mean a chicken egg or any egg.

There were eggs before there were chickens so in that case the eggs came first.

But if you mean a chicken egg then the chicken came first, because without a chicken you can't have a chicken egg. Hear me out, the first chicken didn't come from a chicken egg, it was adaption, a mutation, from another chicken like bird, so therefore the first chicken parents weren't chickens so their eggs weren't chicken eggs. It was only after the first chicken was hatched that we could have chicken eggs. QED

I think they came at the same exact time cause then it would make sense. If god just said ok lets make a chicken and an egg at the same time. But from now on the chicken will lay the egg and in the egg will be a chick.

it is my belief that they appeared at the exact same time. The chicken didn't want to sit on the ground, so it made itself comfortable atop the egg. The chicken being a creature of habit spent everyday the same way, go out, eat a little, get comfy on the egg and nap the day away One day, the chicken came home and found a little yellow fuzzy fellow next to his broken seat and exclaimed,"Who the he** are you? And what did you do to my chair?"!

There is no certain answer for this. Could be either. That's why the 'chicken and egg' statement has become a popular one used when people try to describe a situation where either occurence could've happened first.

God of course made the chicken first. If not who would have sat on the eggs?

The first chicken laid the first chicken egg.... The first chicken came from what ever it was that laid the first chicken egg..the first chicken being a genetic mutation of what ever it's mother was... I was told these kind of results could happen if you drink polluted water.

The chicken, otherwise the egg would never hatch because it wouldn't stay warm
