Not good enough and never will be

I think it was a combination of a couple of things. Firstly Caldwell had a nightmare, secondly none of them played to their potential and lastly Strachan got the tactics wrong. When they talk about Celtic not winning away from home I immediately think of when was the last time I saw Celtic play backs to the wall defense and the answer is never. They need to change their style and do that away from home in Europe and not play so openly. An ugly draw or win is better than a loss and the Press saying they were plucky. They are in a real spot now and a loss to Man Utd could ruin everything after such a promising start. They are a class team and even a draw will be a good result but will it be enough. They have given the impetus back to Benfica and I worry for them.

All teams have bad days. Has your team never had one? I bet they have. Oh yes I still love my Bhoys and always will.

We got it wrong in terms of attitude and tactics, had a stroke of misfortune in Gary Caldwell's OG and never really had the look of a team that could recover.
I think fo rthe first time we missed Gravesen's steel in the middle of the park and VOH presence up front.

Need to be a bit cuter when Man U come to town me thinks.

face facts, they can do sod all away from home in the champions league. great to see man utd losing also. now they can come to celtic park and stuff you lot to ensure their qualification. after that, you can go to copenhagen, suffer another humiliating defeat, and be out of europe(again).

and as for gary caldwell, that was devine retribution, in return for that horrendous tackle on david fernandez last weekend.

Sloppy, unconfident play and two HUGE errors by Caldwell.

They didn't have the support of a Scottish referee. One is always crucial to their wins in the SPL.

They just can't raise their game without their fanatical support behind them and I think half of them get homesick for their mammys on an away day. ..
