Maybe she knows it's not a joke and she doesn't like you back, so she's just playing it off hoping you'll get the hint. I know guys have come on to me and I've laughed at them because I felt awkward and wanted them to leave me alone. This may seem harsh, but without all the details it's hard to answer. Good Luck.

She probably thinks it's a joke because maybe you're popular and she's not. The same thing happened to me in like 10th grade (which was years ago. lol). I didn't go out with that guy though (he later turned out to be a pot addict, but anyhoot), just tell her that you like her, you're not joking, then ask her out.

The question is "how do u feel about it". I mean do u really want to chase after a girl who thinks ur feelings 4 her are a joke. If she does'nt ease up soon I say move on to sumbody who will take u seriously

Tell her in a serious way that you are not joking with her if she thinks that she must be flattered to know that someone likes her.

If she won't believe you, she ain't worth the time when she comes around she'll feel bad and learn from it. You could play the field and find someone who thinks you are serious
