First of all, it's known fact that drinking DOES NOT kill brain cells. It impairs them temporarily, but that's it. There are many scholarly studies done on the subject, look them up if you don't believe me.

I don't think drinking is bad in itself, but when you're in high school, I think one of the worst things you can do is break trust with your parents. More people get caught than not. It might be fun, but if you get caught, your parents won't ever fully trust you again.

I think that's perfectly fine to drink on occations if you're still a teen... as long as one won't ovedue it, it's fine... you can have a little fun... what's wrong with that? everyone does it and i hate when people act all stupid about it, saying you shouldn't drink until you're 21 or something. that teens are irrational and they shouldn't drink... it's a bull... just what you wanna do... it's your life and body... just keep it under control... I personally love apple martinis, i'm 19 btw...

It's a known fact that drinking destroys brain cells, and I feel I'd probably be a little sharper had I not started drinking at an early age. Another thing to consider is that you may become addicted and not know when to stop.
When you're drinking you feel invincible, and you may suffer repercussions from this too. I don't mean to be a spoil sport but I'm concerned for your welfare in the long run should your little nip start getting out of hand. Being genetically inclined towards alcoholism, I've seen members of my family let their drinking get out of hand, and have caught myself starting to indulge a little too much at times. If you're predisposed towards being an alcoholic, it will catch up with you. Be careful!!!

My opinion is that we all done it one way or another but the part about you don't over do it, just on occasion is the part that worries me because from my experience, although I was younger than a teen when I first started drinking. I didn't over do it either but then I started doing it more and more as time went on. You are drinking, that's fine and that's your decision but you control your drinking, the drink doesn't control you. Remember that.

Basically it comes to this: How much do you value your IQ?

Your brain is still growing and developing, drinking not only slows this process (givin you less total brain cells) but also kills ones that you already have.

Drinking as a teen will actually make you have a lower IQ as an adult

Its not bad, but not really good either. Do what you feel is best. You don't need a bunch of net strangers telling you how to live your life...Don't get me wrong, I'm not trying to be rude...Just expressing a thought.

If you are a teen and drinking you are stupid, you should not drink at all! You should be drinking kool-aid not kool-aid with vodka in it. You need to see a counselor at school so you can quit before it gets worse.
