not steak for sure. steak is best cooked over an open fire for best texture and flavour.
i think the best is to cook sausages on the grill

boneless chicken breasts that have marinaded in Italian and ranch dressings.. add a little Parmesan cheese.. marinade at least a couple of hours to let it penetrate the chicken.. then grill over a low flame.. mm good
