You are afraid the theory of evolution and the Big Bang theory challenge Christianity. They don't. They challenge some of the stories in the Bible, but they don't cancel it and they don't spoil Christ's message. Look at the universe and all of God's creation as wonderful. Jesus was born into the world created by God - in all its beauty and mystery. He was sent to help Man find a way to God. Since Man did not create the universe and cannot create ANYTHING from nothing, all our little discoveries just fortify our sense of a power greater than our own. Let me ask you - Do you drive a car? Operate a microwave? These are based on scientific discoveries and I'll bet you're comfortable with them. Man cannot surpass God. Relax!

Chill out and have your parents write you a note to excuse you from science for religious reasons. Then you can sit in the library and study the Bible or the history of Christianity. You need to realize that while you don't want to learn about evolution, some students might not want to learn about Christianity.

It's better to learn what others believe so as to have a healthy conversation with them.
Yes I understand how you feel my grand daughter came home from school telling her mother about evolution being taught. So my daughter explained to her the positive approach on the subject...do your home work and if they ever ask you or the class to explain your view points on that subject evolution then write what is on your mind, being polite and tact full. Maybe prove some points using
knowledge from other sourses. Look young one, don't get upset and mad, the world out there is both negative and positive try to go with the flow but stick to your beliefs...okay?
May you be succesfull.

1) Schools have no obligation to ignore well-established scientific material just because it doesn't agree with religion.

2) Evolution and big bang theory don't eliminate a creator. It boggles my mind why Christians don't just say "God guided the evolution process" and "God kickstarted the big bang" -- there, you're not fighting hopelessly against science, and you've still got your deity.

Look beyond what you see. You cannot change some circumstances. School is for acquainting yourself with new skills. Religion is to make the best out of the skills you learn in the light of humanity.

I am happy that you love being a Christian.

Because of a wonderful thing the Founding Fathers implemented into our government called 'Separation of Church and State'

Basically, the government, or any governmental agency (your school for example) cannot teach you things that are considered 'religous'.

If you wanted to learn just what your church teaches, why don't you go to a private school or be home schooled?

If you want to interact with people of different religions, ethnic, and economic backgrounds (like how it is in the REAL world), then stay in public school.

By all means, take it to court.
Make an utter *** out of yourself.
Evolution and abiogenisis (the big bang) is based in reality. Your christian creation myth is based in mythology and fables.
Who do you think will win?
Look to the Pennsylvania decision about "intelligent design" to find out...

Don't be mad, that's just silly and pointless. Just keep in mind... who do you think made the matter that exploded in the big bang?

God

God is the creator of everything including evolution. He owns everthing in the universe and world; we only borrow/use it. Everything started with, remains and ends with God.
