I can't agree with you on that. I'm not really sure whether or not Jesus existed. There are vague references to him from that time period, but nothing that would really say, "This guy died today." They're all references like, "These Christians are angry because we killed their savior," which could very well be a third person description going by what Christians at the time were saying. It wouldn't really make a difference (to me) whether or not he existed, but think about if he didn't exist. Think about all of the hatred against Jews because of Christianity. Or the crusades. Or any other number of acts of violence in the name of the church. I'd say that if he never existed, it would definitely make our history look much sadder than it needed to be.

Most Western law is in line with the 10 commandments which predate Jesus of Nazareth. I don't know if you think Western ethics "stink" but most Americans , Christian or not, buy into them.

You can if you want, but you might want to note that Jesus talk about hell more than anyone else in the Bible (Just in case you were looking for a nice feelgood pushover figure)
The whole Bible is truth. Not just the parts you like.

No.
I think you should read up on Job.
If there was no rest of the Bible, you couldn't tell people to look up Obadiah 1:2.
"May you be the least among nations, may you be utterly depised.

I can't really agree that Jesus is cool , most of his teachings were coming from a very exclusive angle, i.e. applying directly to Jews. Love thy neighbour as thyself is to be applied directly to jewish neighbours, not to Goyim. Even if you don't look at his teachings as Jewish exclusivism, they are still appalling. Christianity is a sub-sect of judaism pre-programmed to accept poverty. The take home message for christians is that the meek shall inherit the earth, meaning don't worry about the **** that you are dealt in this life, it'll be better in the next one, you know- the fictional one.
